Mt. Kulal at a glance

Welcome to the breath taking Beauty of Kulal scenic ridges

Rising for nearly 2 km above the hot, lava-strewn semi-desert country on the western part of Marsabit County, Kenya, is Mt. Kulal, a ∼2300 m extinct volcano with a pristine forest at the top. The 5,700 ha forest forms the core-zone of the Mt Kulal Biosphere Reserve, designated a UNESCO Man and Biosphere (MAB) Reserve in 1979.
